John Allardice’s CEILIDH SOUND are a lively and experienced Scottish ceilidh band with over 12 years experience. The band has played extensively in Scotland, with regular trips south of the border as well as to France, Germany, USA and even to the St Andrew’s Ball in the Bahamas, hosted by the High Commissioner.
Band leader, John, is an accomplished musician who has worked alongside many big names including Dorothy Paul and Andy Cameron. John now teaches accordion professionally and regularly broadcasts on radio. The CEILIDH SOUND team have an enthusiastic and upbeat style that is truely infectious and makes for a great evening!
Choose from the 2,3,4 or 5-piece band to suit your venue and occasion. At most wedding venues the band plays as a 3 or 4-piece band. In some smaller venues, or on less formal occasions the 2-piece band provides a quality sound without taking up too much of your dancing space.
Ceilidh dancing remains a very popular and fantastic way of celebrating a wedding, anniversary or birthday, and it’s a great way to get everyone mixing and laughing at a charity or corporate event. Ceilidh dances are very inclusive and the CEILIDH SOUND band will play a wide range of dances to suit the occasion.
